# Quadratic Functions

Quadratic functions and equations are useful in diverse areas such as study of projectile motions, designing reflectors for satellite dishes and car headlamps, study of comet pathways, designing lenses, revenue or profit analysis etc. One of the key results in Algebra is the **Fundamental Theorem of Alegbra** which states that every polynomial can be factored into linear and quadratic factors.
